On Tennessee vs. Oklahoma

The Tennessee Vols Sports Guys discuss everything that happened in the Tennessee vs. Oklahoma football game. How did the Vols dominate defensively once again to win in Norman against a then-top-15 team? The Tennessee defensive line overwhelmed the Sooners offensive line all night and made quarterback Jackson Arnold make mistake after mistake before he was pulled for Michael Hawkins Jr. Tennessee had a lot of good coming out of this game, especially for head football coach Josh Heupel who won a national title at Oklahoma as the team’s quarterback in 2000 and visited Norman for the first time as an opposing head coach. The Vols showed in their 25-15 victory that they can win in a multitude of ways in Year 4 under Heupel and that Nico Iamaleava and the offense does not have to carry the Vols to wins like they had to in 2022.

Stock Report After Tennessee vs. Oklahoma

The Tennessee Vols Sports Guys talk about which players saw their stock rise and fall after the win over Oklahoma. DeSean Bishop continues to see his stock rise at running back as he was solid against a great Oklahoma front. Jermod McCoy and the defense as a whole continues to thrive as one of the best overall units in all of college football. Now, though, there are still questions about the offensive line, especially Dayne Davis, who did not have a good game after having to play a lot of snaps due to the absence of Lance Heard and in-game availability of John Campbell Jr.

On Vols CFP Chances

The Tennessee Vols Sports Guys wrap by talk about the Vols College Football Playoff chances after winning in Norman on Saturday night. ESPN’s FPI gives the Vols an 80 percent chance of making the CFP now after the victory and if the Vols can beat Arkansas in two weeks, Tennessee will only have one big road test remaining at Georgia in mid-November. Outside of that game, Tennessee should be favored in every other upcoming game.
